Strict security for Kanwar Yatra from UP to Uttarakhand; surveillance via drones and CCTV

The Kanwar Yatra is underway with great enthusiasm and devotion during the holy month of Sawan. In Haridwar, Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed the Kanwariyas by showering flower petals on them from a helicopter, honored them by washing their feet, and personally served them food. Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, extensive arrangements—including the use of drones and CCTV cameras, medical camps, food provisions, and tight police surveillance—have been made to ensure the safety of the Yatra. Special security measures have been implemented along the Kanwar route in Moradabad. Amidst this, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has also appealed to the devotees of Lord Shiva to shun intoxicants and worship the deity with restraint and peace.
