Student protests in Jharkhand enter 15th day; ABVP holds ‘outrage march’ to CM’s residence
The student agitation in Jharkhand regarding alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations is intensifying. On the 15th day of the protest, the ABVP organized a massive ‘student outrage march’ in Ranchi. Starting from Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, the march proceeded towards Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s residence. Police attempted to halt the protesters using barricades, but the demonstrators broke through them. This led to heated arguments and scuffles between the police and the activists. Several activists were detained by the police. The ABVP has warned that if no action is taken regarding the students’ demands, they will lay siege to the Legislative Assembly on the 11th.
