Students gather at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for reservation reform; police take action, detaining several protesters.

A protest regarding reservation reform took place at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. According to the Delhi Police, permission had not been granted for this demonstration. Despite this, a large number of people are attempting to reach the site. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police are removing protesters from Jantar Mantar. Heavy security forces have been deployed at Jantar Mantar as well as on Jai Singh Road and Sansad Marg. Security has also been stepped up outside the Shah Auditorium.
