Students’ protest ends; government makes major announcement at press conference

The government has finally accepted all the demands of the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) and the students protesting at Jantar Mantar. In a joint press conference, the central government and the CJP announced that the students would no longer stage protests at Jantar Mantar. The CJP had put forward three demands: the resignation of the Education Minister, the withdrawal of FIRs registered against protesting students, and financial assistance of ₹1 crore for the families of students who died by suicide following the NEET paper leak. Addressing a press conference at Delhi’s Constitution Club, Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, along with CJP’s Ashutosh Ranka and Saurabh Das, clearly stated that the students would no longer protest at Jantar Mantar.
