Students to march to the Assembly over JPSC-JSSC recruitment row in Jharkhand; talks with government hit a snag

Today marks the 14th day of protests in Ranchi against alleged irregularities in job recruitment examinations in Jharkhand. The impact of the protest was also visible yesterday in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, where opposition MLAs raised slogans on the very first day of the monsoon session. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has stated that the government is ready to hold talks with the agitators. Following this, the protesting students formed an 11-member delegation for discussions with the state government; however, no talks have taken place so far. Consequently, student organizations are now intensifying their protest and will march towards the State Assembly on Friday.
