Supreme Court ne 24 Week Pregnant Lady ko di Pregnancy Terminate karne ki Permission
The Supreme Court (SC) ne rape survivor jo 24 weeks pregnant hai use fetus me abnormal growth hone ki wajah se pregnancy terminate karne ke liye allow kiya hai.
Court ke order ke bad Mumbai ke King Edward Memorial Hospital me medical treatment puri hone ke bad medical board ne kaha ki Pregnancy ki wajah se Maa ki jaan ko khatra ho sakta hai jiske bad court ne ye faisla liya.
The Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971 permits abortion within 20 weeks of pregnancy and that too after two registered medical practitioners agree it isn't dangerous to the mother.
The woman challenged the validity of Section 3(2) (b) of the Act, which imposes the 20-week restriction. She said she was informed about the abnormality of the fetus after 20 weeks.
