Iske peeche wajah hai severe doctor shortage. Yeh hospital, jo eastern suburbs ke liye ek key public healthcare facility hai, 210 beds ke capacity ke saath hai, jismein 10 ICU aur 10 MICU beds shamil hain
Lekin, on-duty doctors ki kami ke wajah se ICU non-functional hai, aur critical care chahne wale patients ko door kiya ja raha hai.
Aaspaas ke slum areas jaise Bainganwadi, Shivaji Nagar, Govandi, Mankhurd, aur Trombay ke thousands residents ke liye yeh hospital ekmatra BMC-run facility hai. Rozana 600-700 patients OPD mein aate hain, lekin kai ko private chemists se medicines khareedni padti hain kyunki hospital mein stock khatam rehta hai.
