South Mumbai ke Opera House area me ek shocking incident samne aaya jahan do unknown logon ne CID officer ban kar ek diamond designer ko befoof banaya aur ₹7.2 lakh ke heere lekar farar ho gaye.
Complainant Vishwanath Samoi (48), jo Mandvi ke Daginawala Building, Narayan Dhuru Street me rehte hain, apne jewellery business ke silsile me Opera House ke Parekh Market (Room No. 220, Amar Jewellers) se ₹7.20 lakh ke 12‑carat ke rose‑cut diamonds ek black bag me le ja rahe the.
Jab woh Aryan High School ke footpath ke paas pahunche, tab do aadmiyon ne unhe rok liya aur apne aap ko CID official bataya. Unhone baat‑cheet me uljha kar Vishwanath ka dhyaan bhatkaya aur chalaki se diamonds se bhara bag le kar bhaag nikle.
Incident ke baad DB Marg Police Station me impersonation aur cheating ke sections ke tahat case register kiya gaya hai. Police ne dono fraudsters ki talash aur chhupe hue diamonds ki recovery ke liye investigation shuru kar di hai.
Officials ne citizens ko alert kiya hai ki woh agar koi vyakti khud ko CID ya police officer bataye to uska ID card verify karein aur turant police help‑line par suchit karein.
