Uproar over Akhilesh’s remarks on the people of Uttarakhand; CM Dhami hits back sharply

Desk: Politics has heated up following alleged remarks labeling the people of Uttarakhand as “infiltrators.” Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has responded sharply to the statement made by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. While in Haldwani, CM Dhami asserted that Uttarakhand is not just ‘Devbhoomi’ (Land of the Gods), but also ‘Veerbhoomi’ (Land of the Brave). He described the act of calling the people of Uttarakhand “infiltrators” as an insult to the state’s identity, self-respect, and history of sacrifice. Furthermore, targeting the Congress party, he questioned whether they agree with the statement made by their alliance partner, Akhilesh Yadav.
