Waterlogging near Lucknow’s Ekana-Palassio sparks political heat; Akhilesh takes a dig with a ‘bulldozer’ jibe!

The rising water level of the Gomti River in Lucknow has now reached the city’s posh areas. Traffic has been disrupted due to water accumulation around Ekana Stadium and Palassio Mall. Residents in several areas along the Gomti—including Faizullaganj—are facing increased hardships due to flooding and waterlogging. Amidst this, the issue has fueled a political row. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav took a dig at the Yogi government, saying, “Bring a bulldozer that runs on water… and topple the waterlogged BJP government!” Meanwhile, the government has stated that it is monitoring the situation regarding the rising Gomti water levels and has put relief and rescue measures in place.
