Who is the Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasrin, who had to leave first Bangladesh and then Bengal due to her outspoken views?

Renowned Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasrin has set foot in Kolkata after 19 years. Having left Bangladesh in 1994 and sought refuge in various countries, she was banned from West Bengal by the state government in 2003 and denied permission to visit the region. Now, following a change of government in the state, the BJP administration has welcomed her return to Bengal; BJP leaders maintain that the country is governed by the Constitution and that everyone has the right to freedom of speech.
