A horrific incident has shaken the entire region of Azamgarh, UP. After murdering his wife, son, and two priests, the accused, Arvind Singh, held his three children hostage inside the house. Armed with a licensed revolver and surrounded by police, a high-tension standoff ensued, lasting nearly eight hours. According to the police, attempts were made to persuade the accused to surrender for about seven hours. Subsequently, the sound of gunfire was heard from inside the house. As the situation escalated, SOG and ATS commandos took charge. Amidst the use of stun grenades and tear gas, the police stormed the house; the accused, Arvind Singh, was wounded in the ensuing exchange of fire and later succumbed to his injuries.
