The tragedy unfolded in the Banda area of Sagar, where a large number of villagers fell ill after consuming suspected illicit liquor, followed by a series of deaths. The Sagar District Collector has confirmed the fatalities and announced an investigation. Ministers from the MP government are visiting the hospitals, speaking with the victims, and instructing doctors to ensure proper care for the sick. Everyone, from the Chief Minister to Union Ministers, is calling for strict action against the guilty. While the administration, the government, and Union Ministers express concern and promise stern measures, the main opposition party, Congress, has launched an attack on the government.
