No petrol pumps will remain closed from 10 May 2017 onwards (19/4/2017)
Press Release: There are some non-affiliated associations in Mumbai and Kureshtra claiming to shut petrol pumps from 14 May onwards and then every Sunday.
They state that they are responding to a clarion call by the Honorable Prime Minister to save fuel under the pretext only to get recognition in the country.
Let me clarify that Shri Ajay Bansal, president of All India Petroleum Dealers Association (AIPDA) which has the backing of 23 states barring Maharashtra, has not taken any such decision to respond to the call of the Honorable Prime Minister to shut pumps and save fuel.
Press Release:
However the AIPDA association is in constant process of dialogues with oil ministry regarding commission for dealers, ethanol issue, transport tender rates, dual dealership and many others issues.
The general public is hereby informed not to believe in false rumours made by any association in future except the AIPDA. Petrol pumps will not remain closed from 10 May onwards.
Ali Daruwalla, spokesperson
All India Petroleum Dealers Association (AIPDA), New Delhi.
