“Air Warrior” takes charge of Ram Mandir; seers and clerics weigh in…
In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir Trust has appointed former Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra as its first Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This decision is significant as the matter of the CEO appointment had been under deliberation for quite some time. A formal process was followed, involving interviews with several distinguished candidates. Jitendra Mishra was selected from a pool of over 5,500 applicants; notably, the appointment addresses earlier concerns within the community of seers, who had opposed the idea of appointing an IAS or IPS officer to the role. The seers are now pleased that a high-ranking military officer has been unanimously appointed as the temple’s CEO, anticipating that his military background will ensure discipline within the temple premises. Reactions are also coming in from clerics and prominent figures from the Muslim community; they view the Trust’s decision to place its trust in Jitendra Mishra as a welcome move.
