Drug syndicate spanning Mumbai to Prayagraj busted; 70 kg of MD seized

The police have busted an illegal factory manufacturing MD drugs in Prayagraj. Acting on the case, the Crime Branch of the Mira-Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar police has arrested 21 individuals so far. Authorities have seized contraband and assets worth approximately ₹13 crore, including 69.759 kg of MD drugs, around 260 liters of chemicals, laboratory equipment, and cash. Investigations revealed that the drug network’s links extended to Mumbai, Kalyan, Neral, Jalgaon, Gujarat, and Prayagraj. The MD drugs were being manufactured inside a tin shed erected on a farm in the Manda area of ​​Prayagraj. The police are now investigating the mastermind behind the entire network and exploring potential international connections.
