Akhilesh’s PDA Rath Ready for 2027; BJP Counters

The Samajwadi Party has intensified preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. A high-tech ‘PDA Rath’ (chariot), intended for Akhilesh Yadav’s proposed ‘Samajwadi PDA Yatra’, has arrived at the SP headquarters in Lucknow. The vehicle features slogans related to social justice and displays images of key leaders, including Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav. The state-wide journey is likely to commence in the last week of October, although the specific dates and route have not yet been finalized. Meanwhile, the BJP has taken aim at the PDA Rath, predicting that the public will “puncture” it along the way, whereas the SP has asserted that a change of power will occur in 2027.
