Amidst a massive uproar by the opposition, the Vande Mataram Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha following its passage in the Rajya Sabha.
The Lok Sabha has approved the Vande Mataram Bill during the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament; the bill had previously been passed by the Rajya Sabha on July 29. Now that it has cleared both Houses, the path is clear for it to become law. Following its passage in both Houses, the bill will be sent to the President for assent, upon which it will become law. Despite the opposition’s uproar and commotion, the Vande Mataram Bill was passed in both Houses on July 30. Concurrently, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha have been adjourned until the following day, July 31.
