According to reports, the occupants of the car were traveling from Prayagraj to visit Atiq’s elder son, Ali Ahmed, who is lodged in Jhansi Jail. Preliminary investigations indicate that the speeding car lost control and collided with a road divider. Police stated that the accident occurred on the Jhansi-Kanpur National Highway near the Pooch police station area; the Creta car, en route from Prayagraj to Jhansi, suddenly went out of control and crashed into the divider.
