“Bihar Bandh” over paper leak; AISA-RYA stage protests across districts; security on high alert.

A “Bihar Bandh” (shutdown) was called today to protest the NEET paper leak, the lathi-charge on students, and to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Led by student organizations AISA and RYA, the shutdown received support from the RJD, Congress, VIP, and Left parties. Incidents of arson and road blockades were reported in Samastipur, while protests took place in Siwan, Gaya, Jehanabad, Bihar Sharif, and Arwal; meanwhile, security arrangements were tightened across the state, including in Patna.
