Significant administrative action has been taken following the tragic deaths of 15 people in the high-profile Aliganj fire incident in Lucknow. On Saturday, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) initiated demolition proceedings using a bulldozer on the illegal sections of the building where a massive fire had broken out on June 22. The LDA stated that the investigation confirmed violations of construction norms and the existence of unauthorized structures. Although the building owner had been issued a 15-day notice, the illegal portions were not removed within the stipulated timeframe. Consequently, the administration carried out the demolition operation in the presence of JCB machines and a heavy police force.
