Preparations for the 18th BRICS Summit in Delhi are complete. Leaders from major global powers are gathering for this mega-event at Bharat Mandapam. Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in India and is scheduled to hold a crucial meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. Discussions during this meeting are likely to cover issues such as Su-57 fighter jets, the upgraded BrahMos missile system, and defense cooperation. Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping is also visiting India after nearly seven years. Delhi has been beautifully decked up for the BRICS Summit; flags of BRICS nations, posters, and decorative lights are visible along major roads, intersections, and key locations. Security arrangements are also extremely tight, with approximately 15,000 Delhi Police personnel, 200 paramilitary companies, and over 500 CCTV cameras deployed to ensure safety.
