Capital Inundated from Connaught Place to Okhla: Roads Submerged and Traffic Ground to a Halt

The weather in Delhi-NCR took a sudden turn on Saturday morning, bringing heavy rain to several areas. Following the downpour, waterlogging was reported in multiple localities, including Connaught Place, Mahipalpur, Sangam Vihar, Mandi House, Tughlakabad, and Okhla Mor. Water began seeping into shops after the Outer Circle of Connaught Place became flooded. Roads at the Mahipalpur roundabout and Okhla Mor were submerged, disrupting traffic flow. However, a welcome sight emerged from Minto Bridge, where vehicles were seen moving normally despite the rain. Meanwhile, Greater Noida also experienced intermittent rain since late last night, resulting in waterlogging in several areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rainfall across various parts of Northwest, Central, East, and Northeast India.
