Congress stakes claim to 150+ seats… SP pushes ‘winnability’ formula; a new hurdle emerges in the alliance ahead of UP 2027!

The issue of seat-sharing between the Samajwadi Party and the Congress for the 2027 UP Assembly elections is back in the spotlight. Congress leaders are advocating for a ’50-50 formula’ and seeking to contest more than 150 seats, whereas the Samajwadi Party appears to be avoiding discussions on seat-sharing altogether.
