Delhi turns into a fortress ahead of BRICS; here is what the security arrangements look like for the three-day event.

The capital is fully prepared for the BRICS summit scheduled to be held in New Delhi from September 11 to 13. Representatives from various nations and foreign dignitaries will participate in this significant international event taking place at Bharat Mandapam. In view of the summit, the Delhi Police and Traffic Police have put in place comprehensive security and traffic management measures. A total of 7,000 security personnel have been deployed to handle security arrangements throughout the event, while 4,800 traffic police personnel have been assigned to ensure smooth traffic flow. According to reports, traffic diversions have been implemented at 22 points across Delhi, and 35 roads have been closed for the three-day period. While approximately 7,000 security personnel will be on duty, 4,800 traffic police personnel will also manage the situation on the ground; additionally, extensive CCTV and surveillance systems will make Delhi appear like an impregnable fortress.
