The Samajwadi Party has announced that if it forms the government, it will provide ₹40,000 annually to women, ensuring they receive special attention. SP MP Dimple Yadav made this announcement in Lucknow on Wednesday. She stated that the party would launch the ‘Stree Samman Samriddhi Yojana’ (Women’s Dignity and Prosperity Scheme), starting with an annual payment of ₹40,000, which would be increased each year. The SP MP remarked that merely talking about women’s empowerment would not foster the development of women’s strength; rather, it would only be possible by granting them genuine representation.
