Farmers’ ‘March to Bhopal’ in Madhya Pradesh; CM Mohan Yadav Says Committee Will Engage with Farmers

The farmers’ protest in Bhopal is intensifying. Demanding 100% government procurement of *moong* (green gram) and the abolition of the e-token system for fertilizer distribution, thousands of farmers have reached the final police barricade on Hoshangabad Road and are now preparing to march towards the Chief Minister’s residence. After talks with Agriculture Minister Aidal Singh Kansana failed to yield results, the farmers camped on the road overnight, making it clear that they would not back down until their demands were met. Politics surrounding the issue has also heated up, with the Congress and the SP extending their support to the farmers. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has responded to the situation, stating that a committee has been formed to engage in dialogue with the farmers.
