Fatal price for intervening: Enraged strongmen beat man to death

The deceased has been identified as Harishankar, a native of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, who had been living and working in Livan village for some time. Reports indicate that a young man employed at a local company had gotten into a dispute. Harishankar had sided with this colleague during the altercation, which led the opposing party to harbor a grudge against him. It is alleged that after returning from work, the attackers arrived armed with sticks and clubs, initiated a confrontation, and beat Harishankar to death. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
