Flood Havoc in Katihar, Bihar: 10,000 People Face Crisis; Villagers Await Relief
The flood crisis has intensified in the Ahmedabad block of Katihar, Bihar, due to the rising water level of the Ganges River. Approximately 10,000 people across three villages are reported to be affected by the floods. Many villages have lost connectivity to main roads, leaving boats as the only means of transportation. Floodwaters have entered not only homes but also government schools, where several families had taken shelter in hopes of finding safety. The continuously rising water levels have further compounded the hardships faced by the flood victims. Villagers are demanding relief, food, drinking water, medical aid, and safe shelter from the administration.
