Heavy Rain Causes Chaos in Delhi-NCR; Massive Traffic Jams in Noida and Gurugram
The continuous rainfall in the Delhi-NCR region is becoming a major source of trouble for residents. Following heavy downpours on Saturday, several roads across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and surrounding areas were inundated. Waterlogging led to massive traffic jams in many localities, causing significant inconvenience to commuters. Areas such as Okhla Crossing, the Delhi-Karnal Road (behind the Red Fort), Vasant Kunj, and Kirari witnessed severe water accumulation. In Deoli village, eight vehicles were damaged after a parking lot wall collapsed due to the heavy rain. A traffic jam stretching nearly a kilometer was reported in Noida, extending from the Sector-18 underpass towards the Film City flyover. Meanwhile, waterlogging also compounded difficulties for residents in Gurugram’s Sohna Road area, as well as in Bhiwani and Jhajjar.
