The student agitation regarding the JPSC-JSSC recruitment exam controversy in Jharkhand is steadily intensifying. Protests have been ongoing for 13 days at Ranchi’s Jaipal Singh Stadium, with many students observing a hunger strike. Amidst this, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has invited the students for a dialogue; however, the students have made it clear that the discussion must take place publicly—in the presence of the media rather than behind closed doors—and that they will speak directly to the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, the issue has also sparked a political row. The BJP has demanded a CBI inquiry and Babulal Marandi has leveled serious allegations against the government, whereas the government maintains that a committee has been formed to resolve the matter and action is underway.
