High-level meeting between Modi and Putin ahead of BRICS; key issues ranging from Ukraine to the Su-57 to be discussed
Another significant chapter is set to be added to India-Russia relations ahead of the BRICS summit. Russian President Vladimir Putin is visiting India to participate in the BRICS summit scheduled for September 12–13. However, prior to this, he will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This marks the second meeting between the two leaders in less than two weeks; they had previously met on August 31 in Bishkek during the SCO summit.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has also confirmed this meeting. Describing India as a strategic partner, Russia has emphasized the immense importance of the relationship between the two nations.
