In Delhi, PM Modi performed the ‘Ravan Dahan’ and spoke about identifying and confronting enemies…
The nation is celebrating the festival of Dussehra with great enthusiasm. In this spirit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the ‘Ravan Dahan’ (the burning of the effigy of Ravan) at the DDA Utsav Ground in Delhi’s IP Extension and extended his Dussehra greetings to the nation. In his address following the ‘Ravan Dahan’, PM Modi highlighted three types of ‘enemies’—those that threaten the nation’s unity, its honor and dignity, and its culture. The Prime Minister stated that Vijayadashami symbolizes the victory of righteousness (*dharma*) over unrighteousness (*adharma*). This festival inspires us to follow the ideals of Lord Ram and the path he showed. He also made a reference to ‘Ram Rajya’ (an ideal, righteous state).
