Incident of a 5-storey building collapse in Delhi: DCP reveals casualty figures and number of seriously injured.

A five-storey PG (paying guest) building collapsed on Sunday afternoon in Delhi’s Satya Niketan Market area, with fears that several people remain trapped underneath; the majority of those involved are students. Delhi Additional DCP Abhimanyu Poswal has now released the figures: according to the DCP, nine individuals have been rescued and sent to the hospital so far, while, tragically, four have lost their lives. Poswal stated that one of the rescued individuals reported there were 15–16 people inside, although this information is not yet confirmed. Relief and rescue operations are currently underway.
