Saharanpur Mosque Demolition: Giriraj Singh Hits Back at Asaduddin Owaisi
Patna, Bihar: Politics surrounding the demolition of a mosque in Saharanpur has intensified. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has accused the BJP of targeting Muslims. Union Minister Giriraj Singh has hit back at Owaisi, stating that the BJP does not engage in the politics of appeasement and that action is taken strictly in accordance with the law. Taking a dig at Owaisi, Singh remarked that for 70 years, they feasted on the ‘malpua’ (sweet treats) of appeasement for the sake of vote banks and encroached upon government land; that is why they are distressed now that action is being taken.
Meanwhile, regarding the flood situation in Bihar, Giriraj Singh stated that Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has assessed the flood-affected areas and assured farmers of all possible assistance and compensation.
