IndiGo Announces Direct Flights from Delhi to Jorhat and Tiruchirappalli Starting September 2025

New Delhi [India], June 16 (ANI): IndiGo has announced two new direct flight routes starting in September 2025.
- Delhi to Jorhat (Assam): Flights will commence from September 20, operating four times a week.
- Delhi to Tiruchirappalli (Tamil Nadu): Daily direct flights will start from September 16.
These routes are aimed at enhancing regional connectivity, tourism, and trade.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, said,
We are delighted to introduce exclusive direct flights from Delhi to Jorhat and Tiruchirappalli. This will strengthen access to both northeast and southern India.
Jorhat is known for its proximity to Majuli, the world’s largest river island and a center of Vaishnavite culture. It also plays a major economic role with its tea industry and eco-tourism near Kaziranga National Park.
Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) is home to spiritual landmarks like the Rockfort Temple and Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, along with top institutes like NIT Trichy. It serves as a key industrial and educational hub in South India.
Previously, IndiGo also launched direct Tiruchirappalli–Jaffna (Sri Lanka) flights starting March 30, 2025.
