India Bags 4 Medals at ISSF World Cup 2025 in Munich, Finishes 3rd in Medal Tally

Munich [Germany], June 16 (ANI): The Indian shooting team displayed a strong performance at the 2025 ISSF World Cup in Munich, winning a total of four medals—two gold and two bronze—and finishing third in the overall standings behind China and Norway.

Olympian Elavenil Valarivan won bronze in the women’s 10m air rifle event with a score of 231.2, and also set a new national record during the qualification round with a score of 635.9.

Sift Kaur Samra added another bronze in the 50m rifle 3 positions event, finishing with 453.1 points.

Suruchi Singh, who had already claimed gold in the Buenos Aires and Lima legs, secured her third gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event with a score of 241.9.

Arjun Babuta and Arya Borse clinched gold in the 10m air rifle mixed team event, defeating China 17-7.

Maddeneni Umamahesh was the only Indian male shooter to reach the top 8 in men’s 10m air rifle qualifications with a score of 632.3.

Gun for Glory founder and Olympic medalist Gagan Narang expressed pride in the team’s achievements and emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent.

The next ISSF World Cup event for rifle and pistol shooters is scheduled in Ningbo, China, in September.
