Internal dissent mounts against CJP founder Abhijit Deepke; dispute over core committee intensifies
Opposition to Abhijit Deepke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), has intensified in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Two protesters—Manish Brahmbhatt and Rahul Pandey—who had been on a hunger strike for the past five days, were admitted to a government hospital after their health deteriorated. The protesters allege that Deepke appointed his close associates to the party’s core committee while excluding several individuals who had stood by him during the Jantar Mantar agitation. The hunger strike was launched in protest against this move. Following the hospitalization of Manish and Rahul, Farukh Khan has now taken over the hunger strike. The protesters maintain that the agitation will continue until there is transparency regarding the formation of the core committee and the selection of its members.
