Judicial Custody of CJP Leaders Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka Extended by Two Days

The troubles for Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka, leaders of the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) in Delhi, have mounted. Their judicial custody has been extended by another two days, following which the Delhi Police took them back to Tihar Jail. The two leaders were taken into custody in connection with an incident on October 13, where they allegedly climbed over a closed gate to enter the Jantar Mantar area in Delhi. The party claims that the two had gone there to hoist the national flag and raise slogans. Meanwhile, the party has questioned the actions taken by the police and the administration. Both leaders are now scheduled to be produced before the court again on Wednesday.
