Kharge raises ‘stage purification’ issue in Rajya Sabha; BJP promises probe; political temperature rises!

A political row has erupted over a ‘purification yajna’ (ritual cleansing ceremony) conducted by the Shri Ram Sena following the Congress President’s rally at the Ramlila Maidan in Haldwani. Mallikarjun Kharge raised this issue in the Rajya Sabha today and targeted the BJP. Kharge alleged that the BJP had performed a purification ritual on the stage he had used. Meanwhile, the BJP has denied the allegations and stated that an inquiry will be conducted.
