Launching the election campaign from Krishna Janmabhoomi: What is the significance of Yogi’s Mathura mission?
On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on a two-day visit to Mathura-Vrindavan on September 3 and 4. CM Yogi will gift 229 development projects worth approximately ₹1,051 crore to the Braj region. During this visit, alongside the inauguration and laying of foundation stones for development schemes, beneficiaries will be provided with housing, financial assistance, and benefits from other welfare programs. Additionally, on September 4, CM Yogi will perform *Go-Pujan* (worship of cows) and offer prayers to Lord Krishna at the Krishna Janmabhoomi complex. While Ayodhya and the Ram Mandir were central to the BJP’s political narrative during the 2017 elections, the issue of Mathura and Krishna Janmabhoomi has now taken center stage ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
