Lionel Messi to play no more for Argentina; retires from international football

New Delhi: Argentine superstar Lionel Messi, known as the ‘Magician’ of the football world, has retired from international football. Messi played his final international match against Spain in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. The death of his father is also believed to be a factor behind Messi’s retirement.
