Madhya Pradesh: Bulldozer razes illegal construction at the home of the prime accused in the Paras Yadav murder case

In Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, the administration has taken significant action following the murder of Paras Yadav. 48-year-old Paras Yadav lost his life during a dispute that broke out at a ‘Devi Jagran’ (religious gathering) and ‘Bhandara’ (community feast) in Azad Nagar, Gokalpur—an area falling under the jurisdiction of the Ranjhi police station. Eight other people, including two women, were injured in the incident. Following his death, the victim’s family and local residents staged a protest, demanding that the homes of the accused be demolished using bulldozers and that the victim’s family be provided with compensation of Rs 10 lakh. Subsequently, on Thursday, a joint team comprising the district administration, the municipal corporation, and the police deployed bulldozers to raze illegal structures identified at the residence of the prime accused, Sabir Banshkar, and his family. According to the administration, this action was taken to remove encroachments on government land. The police have arrested six individuals in connection with the case. The question now remains: what further action will be taken in the Paras Yadav murder case, and when will the victim’s family receive justice?
