Major breakthrough in Yuvraj Manchanda murder case; Ananya and Sanyam remanded to 5-day police custody

The Delhi Police has made a significant breakthrough in the murder case of 31-year-old Yuvraj Singh Manchanda in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar. The police have arrested Yuvraj’s former office colleague, Ananya Vats, and her associate, Sanyam Sachdeva. Both were produced in court and remanded to five days of police custody. According to the police, Yuvraj had visited the Central Market in Lajpat Nagar with his sister on September 6. He subsequently left the ‘Golden Dragon’ restaurant, heading to Gurugram for a meeting, but never returned home. Investigations revealed that Yuvraj’s last conversation was with his former colleague, Ananya. Police traced a secondary number after Ananya’s primary mobile phone was found switched off; this led them to Uttarakhand, where both Ananya and Sanyam were taken into custody. Police claim that during interrogation, it was revealed the body had been dumped in a drain near Gurugram. An unidentified body found on September 10 was later identified as that of Yuvraj.
