Major verdict by Rouse Avenue Court: Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh cleared in sexual harassment case

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted former BJP MP and former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of all charges in the sexual harassment case involving female wrestlers. The court stated that the prosecution failed to present sufficient evidence to prove the allegations. Former WFI Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar has also been granted relief. The case originated with the wrestlers’ protest at Jantar Mantar in 2023. Following this verdict, speculation has intensified regarding Brij Bhushan’s political comeback and a potential role within the WFI.
