Massive Landslide in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar; 6 Deaths Confirmed

A massive landslide in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area early Wednesday morning has left several families in distress. The incident occurred around 3:48 AM at Gausia Chawl in the Ashok Nagar locality of Ghatkopar. According to initial reports, a huge section of the hillside suddenly collapsed onto the shanties below. Several homes were completely destroyed after being struck by large boulders and debris. Latest figures indicate that six people have died in the incident, while four others have been injured; the injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment. However, rescue teams suspect that more people might still be trapped under the debris, and a search operation is currently underway at the site.
