NC to hold protest in Delhi seeking full statehood for J&K; invitations sent to 52 leaders.

The National Conference has announced plans to stage a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to demand the restoration of full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, has written to 52 prominent national, regional, and local leaders—as well as the J&K BJP President—inviting them to show solidarity with this demand. Abdullah has sounded the bugle to secure full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir, often referred to as the ‘crown’ of the country. Meanwhile, BJP leaders have dismissed Abdullah’s demand as an attempt to mislead the people of the region.
