Nitish Government Grants Relief to Protesting Students; Tejashwi and NDA Clash Over Withdrawal of Cases
The Bihar government has taken a major decision to withdraw all cases registered against protesters during the NEET paper leak agitation. A total of 59 FIRs filed across 15 districts—including Patna—will be withdrawn, and the process for the release of 335 accused individuals will be initiated. The government has clarified that no retaliatory action will be taken in the future against those who participated in the protest. However, this decision has heated up the political atmosphere in Bihar. Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav hailed it as a victory resulting from public and opposition pressure, while the NDA hit back, accusing Tejashwi of trying to claim political credit.
