“Owaisi is ‘excellent’ for UP; he will benefit Yogi”—Ramdev’s statement sparks a political debate

Political temperatures are rising in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the state elections. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has made a significant statement regarding Owaisi. Describing Owaisi as ‘excellent’ for UP, Baba Ramdev suggested that his participation in the elections could lead to a split in the votes of certain sections—a development that would ultimately benefit Yogi Adityanath. As soon as this statement emerged, it ignited a political debate; the opposition took a dig, while the ruling party hit back in its own characteristic style.
