‘Pellets’ become a weapon for the opposition; heated exchanges in Parliament target Home Minister Shah!
Opposition leaders in the Rajya Sabha fiercely targeted the central government over allegations regarding the lathi-charge and the use of pellet guns against students protesting in Delhi. Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, launched a scathing attack on Amit Shah, questioning why the Home Minister was not speaking on the matter. Beyond Kharge, other opposition MPs also slammed the government, demanding to know under whose orders the lathi-charge was carried out and the pellet guns were fired. BJP MP Brijlal responded to the opposition leaders, stating that such actions are taken by the police, not the Home Minister.
